Sara Bichão

Graduada en Pintura por la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Lisboa en 2008. En 2011 realiza la maestría en artes en la misma institución. Fue alumna de Residency Unlimited (Nueva York) en 2012 y de Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa en Lisboa en 2013. Su trabajo es representado por la galería Rooster en Lower East Side en Nueva York.

Entre sus exposiciones individuales destacan: Adrift in Space, Melt in Pace, 2015, Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston; Somebody’s Address, 2014, Rooster Gallery, New York; Soundless Harmonies, 2014, Artopia Gallery / una exposición en colaboración curada por Boshko Boskovic, Milan; Dressing, 2014, Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, Lisbon.

Entre sus exposiciones colectivas destacan: Eccentric Exercise part II, 2015, Cultural Center of Belgrade; Eccentric Exercise part I, 2013, Les Gens Heureux, Copenhagen; One Thing After Another, 2013, Galeria Quadrum, Lisboa; Extending the Line, 2012, Arevalo Gallery, Miami; Six Apart, 2012, Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston; Concrete Mirrors, 2012, Crypt Gallery, London; SPECTRUM, 2012, Casa Medeiros de Almeida, Lisboa ; ADUANA, 2011, National Museum of Science and Natural History, Lisboa.

Fue ganadora del premio BPI bank / FBAUL (2008) y seleccionada para Anteciparte’09 y Fidelidade Mundial prizes (2009) en Portugal. Fue reconocida con el apoyo del Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation para desarrollar proyectos de obra a nivel internacional.

 

 

Sara Bichão

Born in Lisbon in 1986. Graduated in Painting at Faculdade de Belas-Artes, University of Lisbon in 2008. In 2011 completed a Master of Fine Arts at the same school. Sara Bichão won the BPI bank / FBAUL prize (2008) and was selected for the Anteciparte’09 and Fidelidade Mundial prizes (2009) in Portugal. She was awarded with funding from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to pursue her projects internationally.
